Julie
Collins
Executive Director
Julie E. Collins attended
and graduated from a New Orleans public school.
Collins received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business
Administration with a concentration in management from
Clark Atlanta University. Her Master's in Public
Administration is from the University of New Orleans.
After years of working as a management and sales
professional in the medical equipment & supply industry,
Mrs. Collins made a commitment and a transition
to public service.

Ike Spears
President & Chairman
Ike Spears is a native of New Orleans and a Phi Beta
Kappa, Magna Cum Laude graduate of Morehouse College
(Atlanta, Georgia). While at Morehouse, he was recognized
for his outstanding oratorical skills and was awarded the
coveted Benjamin E. Mays Debating Prize. Mr. Spears earned
his Juris Doctorate Degree at Tulane Law School where he
was both a Dean’s Merit Scholar and Earl Warren Scholar.
Mr. Spears is managing partner of the law firm Spears &
Spears where he specializes in Governmental Relations,
Litigation, Insurance Defense and Criminal Defense.

Bruno
Treasurer
Sean Bruno is a
native New Orleanian and Manager, Bruno &
Tervalon CPAs, LLP. . Sean graduated from
Brother
Martin
High School
in 1989. In 1993, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree
with a concentration in accounting from
Morehouse
College
, where he graduated magna cum laude. While at Morehouse,
Sean earned himself a Toyota UNCF Scholarship and was
inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa and Golden Key National
Honor Societies. Upon graduation, Sean joined the
New Orleans
office of Deloitte & Touche, a Big Six Accounting Firm.
Upon leaving Deloitte & Touche in 1996, Sean joined Bruno
& Tervalon LLP. Sean is an audit manager with Bruno &
Tervalon LLP, a CPA firm that was started by his father in
1978. Bruno & Tervalon LLP has served the
New Orleans
community for twenty-five years. Sean is a member of the
Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants, the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and
currently serves as the treasurer for the
New Orleans
chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants.

Rachel
Wisdom
Secretary
Rachel Wisdom joined Stone Pigman in 1991 and is a
partner in the firm. Her practice is concentrated in
commercial litigation. She was admitted to the Louisiana
bar in 1991. Ms. Wisdom attended L’Institut d’Etudes
Politiques de Paris, 1982-83.
She graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors
from Tulane University in 1984, and magna cum laude from
the Tulane School of Law in 1990. She was selected to Phi
Beta Kappa and the Order of the Coif, and served as a
Notes and Comments Editor of the Tulane Law Review,
1989-90. Professional and Civic Activities
Ms. Wisdom served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable
Martin L.C. Feldman, U.S. District Court, 1990-91.

Hansel
Dana Meeks Hansel is the Executive Vice
President of First Bank and Trust. Mrs. Hansel manages
Private Banking and Trust departments and has been in the
banking industry for over 14 years. A past president of
HPPG (employee PAC) and has been a federal and state
lobbyist. Civic activities include past president of Young
Leadership Council, past board member of the CAC
(Contemporary Arts Center) and New Orleans Computer Access
Project, past board member of the New Orleans Chamber of
Commerce, current board member and past First
Vice-President of Dress for Success, current board member
of LSU Psychiatry Advisory, patron chair for American
Heart Ball, Treasurer of Muses Mardi Gras Krewe, asst.
treasurer and membership chair for CREW (national
networking organization for women in real estate), member
of economic development committee of Council for a Better
New Orleans. |
Calvin
Mackey, PH.D
Calvin
Mackie is a native New Orleanian and a product of the New
Orleans Public School System. As an undergraduate, Mackie
was a dual-degree achiever. In 1990, he earned a Bachelor
of Mechanical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and a
Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Morehouse College,
where he graduated magna cum laude. Two years later, he
earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from
Georgia Tech. In March 1996, he was conferred the Doctor
of Philosophy degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Dr. Ollie
Tyler
Ollie S. Tyler was Born and raised
in small town near Shreveport, an area in Northwest
Louisiana. She attended and graduated from the public
schools in Caddo Parish. Ms. Tyler received her Bachelor
of Science degree in Business Education, Mathematics and
Social Studies from Grambling State University, her
Master's in Educational Administration from Louisiana
State University, Baton Rouge. |
Joe Grace
Joseph A. Grace, Jr. is the founding
President of the Louisiana Technology Council (LTC) and a
1980 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He
received his MBA from the University of New Orleans. After
serving almost nine years as a nuclear submarine officer,
then Lieutenant Grace, left the Navy in 1988 and toured as
a musician and recording artist before "getting a real
job" with a Fortune 500 Electronics firm in California. He
came home to Louisiana in November of 1994 to become
President of the LTC, a technical trade association
committed to transforming the Louisiana Technology
Industry. In April of 2002, Mr. Grace resigned his
position as President of the LTC to open his own
consulting practice, Grace and Associates, LLC.

Jason
Perry
Jason Michael Perry is the Webmaster
for Pan-American Life, an international financial services
company. As Webmaster Jason manages the company's Internet
strategy on a day-to-day maintenance. He has quickly
helped to solidify Pan-American's loose Internet strategy
and through search engine optimization doubled
Pan-American's search engine traffic.
In 2001
Jason was featured in Ebony magazine as one of the
country's young African-American CEO's in the technology
industry. |
Pearlie
Hardin Elloie
Pearlie Hardin Elloie is the Director of the New Orleans
Head Start program since 1965. Mrs. Elloie received her
Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Dillard
University, her Master’s in Social Work and Human Growth
and Development from Tulane University and her Master’s of
Quality Management from Loyola University School of
Business in New Orleans. She received additional training
in Early Childhood Education from
Harvard
University
in
Cambridge
,
Massachusetts
. Mrs. Elloie was a
participant in the pilot Head Start-Johnson & Johnson
Management Fellows Program at the Anderson Graduate
School of Management at UCLA and completed the IBM
Executive Training Program in Administration of the
