Joseph A. Grace Jr., the son of a career Naval officer and military attaché from an established

Louisiana family, was born in Arlington, Va., in 1958. Mr. Grace is a 1980 graduate of the U. S.

Naval Academy and a former nuclear submarine officer. After leaving the Navy in 1988, Mr.

Grace followed a musical recording career and toured as a solo artist. He then went into

sales with a Fortune 500 material science company, based in

California. Six years later, he left Raychem as one of their national

sales managers for the Wire and Cable Division. He returned

to Louisiana as the founding President of the newly-formed New

Orleans Technology Council in November, 1994. He holds an

MBA from the University of New Orleans (UNO) and is also very

active in the community and serves on many boards and commissions.

Committee; Chairman, New Orleans Mayor’s Technology

Economic Development Committee; and Chairman, UNO

Business/Higher Education Council Technology Committee.
